Suggest Treatment For Undescended Testicle In A Teenager
Respected Sir/Man, I am 19yr old boy i have one left testis undescended and its location in noted in the pelvis on the left side of postero superior to the seminal vesicles and anterior to the sigmoid canal. Its size is 25x15.8 mm using Mri we checked. Further doctor said me that no need to take it out as it is too small and will not affect anything in the body and it is too deep that not easily possible to find it out easily. So please suggest me is the doctor suggestion ok Should i Not operate for this. Thank you
Practically thinking of surgery of undescended testicles at this age would not have much benefit as chances of functional testicles are less after 2 years of undescent. If hormones are in normal range and growth is not affected then surgery is not required. If above symptoms are there then they can be managed by supplementation of hCG hormones externally.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
