My grandson is 7 and he just mentioned his testicle hurts. When mt son checked he said there is no ball in his scrotum. The ball is up above his penis. His testicle did drop when he was born, can it go back up? He was just brushing his teeth and he must have been leaning against the sink and that s how he noticed the discomfort.
Your grand son findings may suggests descended/ectopic testis. Initially he may need clinical examination and ultrasound. It is important to confirm site of testis. He may need surgical correction. It is important to correct the position of testis as it is prone to injury,atrophy etc. It may lead to infertility in future if it is not corrected. I suggest to consult pediatric surgeon.
