Hi.
Noted the history about stroke, development of pain in the upper groin area that is not allowing to stand up or walk, have
varicose veins too.
First of all, you must get a proper diagnosis of the cause of pain in groin area.
I would advise you the following in such a case:
Consult your Doctor for proper clinical evaluation, examination and investigations.
If needed take a
second opinion of a
General Surgeon and/or Orthopedic Surgeon to know the cause.
The causes can be related to recent development of hernia, muscle strain.
Internally can be due to colitis or so.
Fracture and
tenosynovitis of the pubic ramus.
Ultrasonography or X-rays can help further and if needed a CT scan will be ordered.
It is the clinical examination that gives a clue.
The treatment will be effective only if a specific management is given to a specific cause found.
Continue treatment for Stroke, varicose veins and other problems that you may have.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
