Hi,

8 months of respiratory problems as you have explained is a long time to suffer.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
CT scan of chest sometimes gives the better diagnosis.
Send the Phlegm for lab for gram staining, culture and sensitivity and AFB staining for tuberculosis.
Proper clinical evaluation should have helped and it wonders me that you have been examined by Gastroenterologist, ENT Specialist, Pulmonologist and Cardiologist, given only inhaler and Symbacort without any results for respiratory symptoms.
It seems that you are allergic to something or there is missed diagnosis like Tuberculosis or Bronchiectasis as these are chronic disease and go on for months.
All the above things that I mentioned may give you a proper diagnosis and thus allow a proper management.
Also see the atmosphere into which you live and if not suitable you may have to change the place of home or work or both.
Stop smoking and avoid pollution.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
