Suggest Treatment For Upper Respiratory Infection, Fever And Drowsiness
I went to the health clinic yesterday and was told I had URI. It has been going on for 6 days and today is the worse. My fever stays around 103 even with nsaids. Does it sound like it could be something else since lasting so long. I feel terrible and want to sleep all of the time. I am 71. Should I be checked again?
If you are currently receiving treatment and have been taking the recommended medication for at least 48 hours with no initial improvement then you should see your doctor for reassessment.
It can sometimes take a few days for medication to start to be effective so if it was only just started then you should give it to at least the 2 day mark.
I hope this helps
