Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a uretha stone that has not passed in 3 and1/2 weeks. The Urologist says its small enough to pass but has not to this point yet. I am scheduled for a dye test next week and then a scheduled removal with a stent put in. I am very nervous about a stent being put in and then removed as I have heard it could be extremely painful and want to avoid that. Is there anything else that could be done that would eliminate that procedure?
hello dear, i understood your problem, dont listen to other who said about it. the procedure is done under anaesthesia no pain is usually see rather then touch feeling. so dont put you under pressure. it can have adverse effect on procedure. i have lot of patients who has undergone this procedure none of them reported me with pain. all the best for your surgery. but after removal of stone there is chance of stone formation again so drink plenty of water daily and avoid work in hot cilmates. thank you.
