Hello,
Thanks for trusting Healthcaremagic!
I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.
Urinary tract infection(UTI) is quite common in early months of
pregnancy. Since you had
splenectomy before, you are at an increased risk of UTI.
We have to treat UTI in pregnancy to avoid unwanted complications.
Citralka and
cyclopam are safe during pregnancy. It does not affect your kid. But,antibiotic therapy is mandatory to control infection.
I suggest you to consult a general practitioner and get the following things done:-
(1)- Do a urine routine examination and urine culture to confirm the diagnosis and find the appropriate antibiotic.
(2)- A short course of antibiotic therapy is needed.
Cefixime is the generally used antibiotic and it is safe in pregnancy.
(3)- For pain, you can continue cyclopam.
(4)- Drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated.
(5)- You can use cranberry juice,it can act as a urinary antiseptic.
Hope I have answered your query.
Regards.
