Suggest Treatment For Vaginal Itching And Swollen Labia
I just had sex for the first time a week ago (with latex condoms) . A few days later I was slightly sore and itchy but that might be because of the friction. The itching stopped and my period is coming up, so I wore a panty liner to sleep last night. I woke up this morning with slightly swollen labias. No physical changes other than that, would it be because of the excessive moisture overnight? I m worried I might have a yeast infection, latex allergy, or something else. Please help.

Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. If just itching and swelling with out any discharge or inflammation then it can be latex allergy. If not then it can be bartholinitis and associated yeast infection. In such case hot fomentation and clotrimazole cream application will be helpful. Avoid using soaps and irritants and instead you can use saline or warm water for washing the genital area. If it is due to allergy then taking antihistamines like benadryl and hydrocortisone cream application will be helpful. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
