Hello, I am in a dying need of help!!! For the past year I have been dealing with a terrible itch in my vaginal area that is sometimes unbearable. I have only one partner of seven years and have been tested for STD S and thankfully I am good. I have noticed when I get hot the itching is worse. There is no discharge but it itch so bad at times I can not help but to scratch and have gotten to point I can not wear underwear at bed time. (Prefer not to wear them). Please help me
Your symptoms seem to be related to a yeast infection. A vaginal swab can confirm the diagnosis. Meanwhile, I suggest using Clotrimazole cream for local application. I also suggest using Fluconazole 150 mg tablets, once a day for three days. To relieve the itching, I suggest using Cetirizine 10 mg daily. I recommend to maintain a good hygiene and use cotton loose underwear.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
