Hello, I have been diagnosed (by a Bowel Surgeon) with a Ventral Hernia which is now about 6cm across. After reading a few articles the opinion seems to be that this was originally caused by a number of attempts to fix it with open surgery and also in the initial stages (10 years ago) an operation for the removal of my Gall Bladder. I am not in any great pain but some discomfort. I would not like this to develop into a Giant Hernia where allegedly it could be more difficult to fix.
