Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My wife had an epidural facet injection yesterday and awoke early this morning with vertigo and a dull headache. Later this morning her face became flushed. She wants to sleep but can t. The vertigo has subsided but is still present. She s very uncomfortable right now.
All the symptoms your wife is experiencing can be caused by the epidural injection. Generally, they do subside with time so it is important for her to treat symptoms while she feels unwell. She may take paracetamol and ibuprofen to help with the headache, she should keep herself well hydrated and also should try to stand very gradually from lying position to straight to prevent falls.
If no improvement in the next 2 weeks or there is any worsening, she will need to see her doctor.
I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
