Suggest Treatment For Vertigo, Severe Dizziness And Heavy Feeling Of Body

Hello, I recently went to the emergency room and was diagnosed and prescribed with treatment for vertigo. However, after taking two doses of treatment, my vertigo symptoms have increased to the point I get extremely dizzy when I attempt to stand and my entire body feels heavy and I m whoozy. Should I contact my doctor or return to the emergency room?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It may be best to return to the emergency room for assessment.

Vertigo is most often related to conditions of the inner ear - (1) BPPV, (2) meniere's disease (3) vestibular neuronitis

Though uncomfortable and distressing, none of these are life threatening.

There are different treatment options for each so you may need to reassessed to determine the exact cause and initiate treatment.

I hope this helps
