Suggest Treatment For Very Sharp And Stabbing Pain In The Lower Left Back

I broke 4 ribs several weeks ago and they seem to be healing fine. The problem I m having is that every once in a while (cough, sneeze, etc) I will get a very sharp and stabbing pain in my lower left back. Seems like muscle but I can t be sure. Any ideas?

You mention that your rib facture is properly healed after that you got a pain problem.Check in your CT scan there is facture still present or not.

Lumber disc herniation may cause sharp pain at back region.

Sciatica cause pressure or irritation over nerve that can lead to sharp pain at back and lower leg part also.
MRI report helpful for further diagnosis.

Lumber injury or lumber muscle strain may lead to pain at back region.

Take a rest.
Physiotherapy is helpful in back pain problem after diagnosis.

Thsnks for asking me this question.

Do one CT scan that helpful if any hairline facture at lumber region .
Sometime disc herniation can cuase back pain problem.

overweight load lead to pain at lower back region.
Sciatica may lead to pain during over burden.
Simple muscle strain lead to lower back pain also.

MRI may helpful for further diagnosis.
