Suggest Treatment For Very Stiff Neck, Eye Pain And Pain In Temples

Help I have a very stiff neck, eye pain, pain in temples when applied pressure, tense jaw that I can t relax at all, dull constant headache, loss of appetite. Headaches worsen in the afternoon and whenever I m not laying down. Yesterday I had clear oily fluid run out of my nose. And a few days ago I had the worst headache of my life and I wanted to bang my head on walls and pull out my hair and I felt stabbing pain in head when I shook my head.

Hi,

It is important to seek medical attention as soon as possible to determine the underlying cause of your symptoms. These symptoms could be a sign of a serious medical condition such as meningitis or a brain injury.

In the meantime, here are some general suggestions that may provide some relief for your symptoms:
Apply heat or ice: Try using a heating pad or ice pack on your neck and temples to help relax the muscles and reduce inflammation.
Take over-the-counter pain medication: Ibuprofen or acetaminophen may help relieve headaches and reduce inflammation.
Stretch and massage: Gentle stretching and massage of the neck and shoulder muscles can help reduce tension and relieve stiffness.
Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of fluids to help flush out toxins and reduce inflammation.
Rest: Resting your neck and avoiding activities that aggravate your symptoms can help reduce pain and promote healing.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
