Suggest Treatment For Viral Fever Along With Diarrhea

Hello. My grandmother is 88 years old. She is having viral fever since two days now. She didn't have much cough until late in the night (10pm IST). The cough has increased a lot. Along with that she is having loose motions as well since 11pm. She couldn't eat anything today as she didn't feel like it, so we were giving her only fluids, Water and home made juice. After her loose motions, we have given her ors to prevent de hydration. However, dye to her age, she is unable to with stand the pain and weakness. She already has fallen twice since yesterday owing to weakness. Please help.

Welcome to HCM.
You gave her ORS powder was a very good decision.
Also give her orange or lemon juice with some salt and added sugar.
Take rest properly.
Give paracetamol for fever.
Continue rehydrate her as the trratment of viral fever is same.
Give her semisolid food only and small frequent diet.
For cough, give her syrup cetirizine.
Coonsult doctor for lab tests.
