Hello,. As the hospitalised course is over, intravenous therapy is completed. Residual diarrhea seems to be part of convalescence phase of the viral infection. Guidelines for better recovery: - Anti-emetic medication as Ondancetron syrup with sips of water on empty stomach - More amount of liquids including boiled water, oral rehydration salt at intervals - Soft diet which is easily digestible with avoidance of dairy fat, junk food if involved - Thorough chewing of food - Oral and hand hygiene - Baby must avoid keeping any toys like stuffs in her mouth - Continue GI specific antibiotics as prescribed like Metronidazole or others - Supportive role of lacto bacillus sachets and zinc syrup must be discussed with her treating pediatrician Take care.
