Suggest Treatment For Visual Disturbances After A Spinal Decompression

I had a spinal decompression for arnold chiari with a syringomyelia a year ago June. I have had great results post SX. I went on aggressive thrill ride the long weekend in may. Now within the last week I have had episodes of seeing heat wave images in my left eye only and only from the periphery to my central field of view. Should I be concerned?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I would advise you to get it checked by your treating doctor as eye involvement after decompression is unusual but may be interlinked with syringomyelia.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
