Suggest Treatment For Vitamin Deficiency Causing Blistering In Lips And Nails Splitting
I am a 43 year old woman and my lips are blistering and bleeding. This has gone on for many months. I have a toe fungus that my doctor said was a vitamin deficiency. My nails are splitting. I am actually asking for our daughter. She will have to continue because I do not know all the symptoms. Thank you
The lips chapping and cracking are possibly a vitamin deficiency (e.g. vitamin B12) or dehydration. Make sure you give her at least 2-3 litres a day, keep her lips moist with the help of a petroleum jelly and speak to the doctor to guide you into learning how to give your daughter vitamin shots.
The toe fungus can be treated with an anti-fungal medication (e.g. terbinafine, itraconazole), and also wearing comfortable footwear and socks that allow good ventilation, also try to avoid keeping her feet wet.
Best wishes.
