Suggest Treatment For Vitiligo Inspite Of Using Light Treatment
I am 30 years old, I am suffering from vitiligo since last 5 years, now I am taking spot light treatment and some ointement, lotion, tablets. But still white patches are spreading? Which tablets will you suggest? Side effects of tablets? Is there any remedy in food? I am getting too much gastrics while taking tablets.
Hi. As per your case-history of vitiligo my treatment advice is- 1. If the skin lesions are spreading, we need to first control it. Oral steroids for short course may be started after consulting a dermatologist. 2. Oral Trioxsalen 5mg daily once followed 2 hours later by sun-exposurefor 5 min after application of placentrax gel (mild sunlight of early morning or late noon). 3. NO specific role of food. 4. If more area of body is covered then it is better to go for phototherapy treatment.
Thanks. Dr.Harshit Bhachech MBBS,DDVL.
