Vitiligo or white skin disease is caused due to less or impaired activity of specific cells known as melanocytes . Though the cause has not been exactly identified but is proposed that is due to formation of auto-antibodies to these cells. The treatment option are multiple including topical and oral steroids along with certain immuno-modulator drugs.
