Suggest Treatment For Vomiting And Frequent Stools In A Child

I took my baby (2 mos and 3 weeks old) to the hospital on the order day because he was always vomiting and he keeps on defecating but as I check his stool it was fine, like it was not watery at all. It s just like a normal stool. So I explained to the doctor what happened and then she prescribe me some medicines like Erceflora and Oral rehydration salts. I mixed the erceflora with my baby s milk but then right after he took it, his stool changes from normal to watery (light yellow). I think it got worse! Please help me, Im really worried right now. BTW, my baby looks fine, he always smiles, no fever, not irritable, no rashes and he is definitely not pale.

Hello,

Viral gastroenteritis of infant period as Rota virus in most cases. Kindly follow pediatrician guidelines of oral rehydration salt and supportive care and wait for a period of 24 hours to get resolution on gradual basis in terms of frequency of stool. For vomiting, requires prescription of ondancetron syrup from pediatrician.
