Hi,

I noted the history of severe stomach pain and vomiting, ultrasound shows only fatty infiltration of liver. Gall bladder shows dense bile with tiny calculi - cholecystitis, gaseous distension of bowel, want to know the treatment and whether surgery is required or not.As per the history you have submitted, the problem is cholecystitis secondary to the multiple tiny gall stones.

Yes, surgery is always indicated as there can be a big problems/complications such as obstructive jaundice as they can pass easily into the common bile ducts. Get the surgery as soon as possible.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant
