Hello,

It seems your daughter is having a viral infection that is causing her the vomiting, diarrhea and the abdominal pain. It generally is self limiting and takes 5-7 days to completely go away and meanwhile parents should make sure the child is kept well hydrated as dehydration is the main problem in these cases. You can give her oral rehydration solutions to help substitute both water and electrolytes she looses with vomiting and diarrhea.

If you notice her lips and tongue are dry, her eyes sink, she urinates less or is sleepy or tired, it may be due to dehydration and she needs to be sent for medical attention. Rarely infusions are needed. Drugs for vomiting and diarrhea are not routinely used in children, just focusing on keeping them hydrated is the main point of treatment.

I would not worry about the head bump she had a while ago, she can not hurt herself bad unless she falls of heights 2-3 times her height.

If no improvement in 2-3 days or any worsening please send her to be seen by the doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
