Hello,

Ondem can be given to a vomiting child to reduce the symptoms. The dosage is as below: in a syrup that contains 4mg/5ml, please administer 5ml each time. You can use twice a day. This can be used as temporary measure .Vomiting in a 2 yr old is not to be neglected and below are few causes:
1) Infection by bacteria, viruses and parasites
2) Gastroenteritis
3) Urinary tract infections
4) Food allergy
5) Lactose intolerance
6) Increased intracranial pressure due to meningitis or encephalitis
7) Gastroesophageal reflux

If the vomiting is
Intractable
With increased frequency
Associated with fever, headache, diarrhea
Dehydration

Please do consult a pediatrician if above symptoms are seen. Also, oral rehydration solution is to be given to the child if vomiting persists.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello,

Vomiting in a child can be severe. The following are my recommendations:
1) Oral rehydration solution is to be given frequently
2) Ondem syrup is to be given orally. It contains 4mg in 5 ml. Give 2.5 ml first. If vomiting persists give 5 ml
3) Correction of water and electrolytes imbalance is most important

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
