Suggest Treatment For Vomiting While On Quetiapine Fumarate
my husband (80 yrs old) has lewy body. the doctor prescribed quetiapine fumarate 50 mg. he has been on it for two days because of seeing and hearing people who are not there. he woke up throwing punches and his speech is not understandable. can I give him something to counteract this med.
You can give anti-emetic to control vomiting. If your husband is vomiting out the prescribe medicine Quetiapine Fumarate, then you need to inform your treating doctor. Your husband needs medical intervention & support. If you neglect his symptoms may get worse.
He needs medications & physical therapy. Let him stay away from alcohol & addictions if any. Keep him well hydrated, dehydration sometimes causes hallucinations in the elderly. Maintain the NA, K balance in the body electrolyte system.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
