Hi,

Warthin's tumour is the second most common benign neoplasm accounting for approximately 15% of all parotid epithelial tumours. Research has shown that the factors associated with increased postoperative dysfunction of the facial nerve were the extent of parotidectomy and diabetes mellitus. In this context, it is better to leave the tumor as it is benign. If it shows sudden increase in size then this will be known when you go for check up every 3 to 6 months and then a surgery can be planned. Diabetes if severe needs to be controlled right now to improve his general health.
