Suggest Treatment For Watery Painful Eye

I have been having problems with my right eye watering and burning. I also have the right side of my nasal being stopped up. This has been going on for about maybe two to three months and the symptoms are not getting better. My right eye is very crusty in the morning and my tear duct just keeps watering. It almost feels like allergy symptoms, yet my left eye is very clear with no watering or burning. I am thinking about seeing a physician or an eye doctor. Any help you give me would be great.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

As there is issue with both nose and eye of the same side, we have to rule out obstruction of nasolacrymal duct (tear duct), which can cause stagnation of tear in that eye with secondary irritation and infection. Kindly see an ophthalmologist for evaluation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
