Suggest Treatment For Weak Palpitation And Vascular System For A 61-year-old
Thank you! Im 61. Bp usually low. Get vascular migraines. Take maxalt. Only thing that works. No migraine tonight, but bp is 117/85. Diastolic usual.around 65,70 very dizzy when rising. Vertigo. Sometimes heart palpitations at night, evening. Mother had migraines. Then tia s, then strokes. Feels like weak vascular system. Thoughts? And should I be concerned with occasional high diastolic? How do I strengthen vascular system?
* The Rizatriptan (Maxalt) is best medication for acute and prophylactic treatment of migraine headaches.
* So far as palpitation is concerned, there is need for evaluation of 2 D echo of heart, EKG and later on prophylactic antiarrhythmic or platelet modulator as argatroban or others can be considered ahead.
Kindly discuss the same with your cardiologist during next scheduled visit and follow up.
Till that time, keep deep breathing exercises on along with YOGA, walking in fresh air.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
