Suggest Treatment For Weakness And Numbness In The Legs

My sister has fibro she has been experiencing leg numbness, weakness, and shaking for some time. She attributed it to lack of exercise, but this morning when she was walking, she could not move her foot off the floor. She takes neurotoxin could this cause that?

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

You probably mean neurontin, not neurotoxin since neurotoxine is toxic substance which may be harmful for nerves. And neurontin is gabapentin used for some pian saindromes and some neurologic disorders. Now, her symptoms are suggestive of neuropathy and this may be caused by methabolic or compressive causes. Methaolic are diabetes for example or degenerative such as myastenia or multiple sclerosis. Compressive ones are caused by discus hernia or spine arhrosis. Neurontin should not have such side effects and you need to do MRI of spine to evaluate this what i ve mentioned. Also, blood sugar, calcium and magnesium should be measured. She should continue with medications until that.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
