Suggest Treatment For Weeping Sores In Legs In An Elderly Person

My aunt is 97. Has swelling in legs for a couple weeks and now has redness and clear oozing blisters on both lower legs. They are itching even though she says not as she is scratching. What to do? She is in otherwise good shape. Mobile and alert. Still an active person. Any thought on what it could be and what we should do?? She has a doctor appt this Tuesday but not sure if we should wait or head to ER.
