Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been taking HRT for 17 years. Testosterone, estrogen and progesterone. I have never had a hysterectomy. I Am 59. I feel great. But am concerned with weight gain. Since the HRT I have put on twenty five pounds with most of it in my upper torso. I look bloated all the time. I m considering stopping. What do you think?
Diet modification and exercise are a must while on HRT. Other possibilities like hypothyroidism also be ruled out. Consult your endocrinologist and he will direct you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
