Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Extreme fatigue and weight loss are common with diabetes and may give you this presentation.Your falls could be explained by the fact that your cells do not take up enough glucose to generate energy needed for your activities. This may also explain weight loss.Symptoms of diabetes may further be associated with symptoms of Epstein Barr virus and make you even weaker. If you are already on diabetes treatment, some anti-diabetics if not used with caution may rather give you hypoglycemia and falls will be possible. Some of these anti-diabetics include insulin and sulfonylureas. The treatment of your condition will depend on the underlying cause.A well controlled diabetes may put you back on your feet. The following measures may help: -See an Endocrinologist for diabetes management -Regular exercises -Eat normally and as prescribed by your Nutritionist As for Epstein Barr virus, it may not have any specific treatment and should clear up on its own in a few months if you remain healthy with a well controlled diabetes. The following home measure may help you get over Epstein Barr virus symptoms(mono) faster: -Get plenty of rest. -Drink a lot of water and other liquids to stay hydrated. -Take painkillers like acetaminophen or ibuprofen to bring down fever and relieve body aches if you have these symptoms Hope my answer will help Best regards
