Suggest Treatment For What Feels Like A Muscle Spasm In The Back Area
I am experiencing what feels like a muscle spasm in the mid back area(bra band area) - if I move in the wrong way the pain is so severe it takes my breath away. I was not exercising or lifting anything. I was standing and I turned to look the other direction and the spasm was so severe I could not move for about 3 minutes. What type of doctor should I see and could this just be a muscle spasm?
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Yes, by your history and description, possibility of musculoskeletal pain is more. Your pain worsens with movements. This also favours musculoskeletal pain. You should consult orthopedic doctor or physiotherapist for this. Do following things for better symptomatic relief in musculoskeletal pain. 1. Avoid movements causing pain. 2. Avoid bad postures in sleep. 3. Avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise. 4. Take painkiller and muscle relaxant drug. 5. Apply warm water pad on affected areas. 6. Avoid tight inner wears like bra. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further.
