my son 7 years old, has a wheat allergy at the age of 3 years. and i immidiately stop all the products. and start giving him gluten free product. but now from last 4-5 months, he is regulary taking his normal diet that we people took. and it does not have any problem. so please suggest me what to do? whether stop him giving normal diet and give him glueten free diet or continous the current diet.
I went through your son's history and would like to make suggestions for you as follows:
1. Were I treating him, I would not suggest him stopping gluten-containing products now as he is already is taking them for 4-5 months without any symptoms.
2. Wheat allergy can improve by itself with increasing age. So it is possible that your son has "come out" of the allergy.
3. However, if he has celiac disease (another condition which requires gluten-free diet), I would not suggest you to give him gluten.
Hope above information will be helpful to you.
Should you have any further query, please feel free to ask at HCM.
Wish your son the best of the health ahead.
Thank you & Regards,
