Suggest Treatment For Wheezing And Dry Cough Despite Taking Levoline Inhaler And Budecort

Hi sir/mam..My son is now 3yrs old...he had wheezing problem....doctor suggested levoline inhaler 3 puff 6hrs once if the cough occurs..and buticort daily 1 puff morning And night....the prob occurs too often...it doesn t look like wheeze..it look lyk dry cough....I m giving inhaler too often...is it ok to give inhaler for dry cough....any health issue will occur in future?...pls help me..I m afraid of it...

Hello,

It could be pertussis infection. I recommend performing blood lab tests for infection (complete blood count, PCR, ESR) and antibody for pertussis. An antihistamine syrup may be needed, coupled with an antibiotic. You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.
