Suggest Treatment For Wheezing And Metallic Taste In The Mouth
For about the last year I have had wheezing. And it sounds like it's deep in my throat - not my chest. Recently I have developed a metallic taste when I cough or sneeze. I do not have a chronic cough just seasonal allergies. My doctor gave me Zegerid because I have heartburn pretty often. It helped the wheezing the first time I took it. But I just tried it again and it didn't help as much. I also have a Dulera inhaler that helps the wheezing. I am about 40 pounds overweight so I wonder if that contributes too. I'm a little worried about this. Anything you can give me would be helpful. THANKS
You may have sleep apnea, which can be related with your overweight. Wheezing is due to obstruction of bronchial tree, for which you can take bronchodilators.
As you are having metallic taste, there may be retropharyngeal infection.
