dr. my mother may be suffering from leukoplakia, actually she has a white and red patches on her mouth which are internal and she is feeling pain and a stress when she opens her mouth ,we refered to a doctor which is dentist , he gave some medicines to my mom but it doesn't work , we also told him about biopsy but he refused ,we are very worried pls tl me the appropriate direction

As per your complain the symptoms seems consistent with Speckled Leukoplakia or Erythroleukoplakia in which there is a combination of mixed red and white patches.. It is more aggressive lesion then leukoplakia and you should immediately consult an Oral Surgeon and get evaluated and he can do a thorough clinical evaluation and also advise you biopsy to confirm the cause.. In case of speckled leukoplakia he can advise you topical application of steroid oral paste, taking beta carotenes [precursor of vitamin A], antioxidants like Lycopene and multivitamin supplements.. For pain numbing gel containing Lignocaine can also be applied.. Avoid spicy food and take soft diet.
