Suggest Treatment For White Growths At The Back Of The Tongue

Hi I have a couple of thin white growths about 1/2 a cm long on the back of my tongue. I also have two white lumps at the back of my throat which have been there about a month. I m 22, a non smoker and a non drinker. There is no pain, no lumps in my neck and no bleeding. I think these may be oral warts from a harmless strain of HPV, but I would like some reassurance that there is nothing to worry about. Jack

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand..

As per your complain thin white growths at the back of tongue can be hypertrophied and swollen circumvallate papillae that are present at the back of tongue in a typical "V" shaped pattern and can occur due to a number of reasons like throat infection, allergies, oral infections, acid reflux, burning with hot foods and chemicals like concentrated mouthwash solution..
White bumps in throat can be tonsil stones if present over tonsils of can be pus pockets secondary to infection..
Nothing to worry as it commonly does not indicate and serious illness..
You can do warm saline gargles, take Acetaminophen for pain as it is considered safe during pregnancy,do cool water rinses and drink plenty of water..
Avoid hot and spicy food and take a soft diet..
In case if it still does not improve consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
