Myself Pampa Sarkar from Kolkata WB suffering from Albinism / Vitiligo since the age of 12 yrs. Earlier only a white mark/ patch was located at the adjacent of my right eye; I visited the School of Tropical Medicine, Kolkata where high anti-biotics were provided for consuming & applying. Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
You seem to have generalized vitiligo. If it is still spreading I would suggest starting an oral steroid so as to arrest the further spread. In additiin for widespread vitiligo such as yours I usually start my patients on Narrow band UV B phototherapy. Re-pigmentation may not be complete and certain sites like hands , feet and lips are the most resistant to treatment. Topical treatment In the form of tacrolimus ointment and/ or mometasone furoate may be simultaneously continued.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
