Suggest Treatment For White Patches On Left Tonsil Along With Pain And Burning Sensation
Hi i have been diagnosed with tonsillitis. I started having pain on Sunday night. Following day I had white patches on the left tonsil. I was prescribed with augmenting on Wednesday. I'm still having pain and burning in back of throat. I notice today that the with patches have increased and now I have a couple on the right side. Is this normal?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that pain and burning in throat along with white patches on tonsils seems to be due to bacterial infection in throat also known as Strep throat and white patches seems to be pus pockets.. Nothing to worry, you should continue taking the medicines advised to you by your Physician, do warm saline gargles and steam inhalation.. Suck throat lozenges and chew a Vitamin C pellet daily.. Take a soft diet and avoid spicy and chilled foods..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
