Suggest Treatment For White Patches On My Tongue

I have these white patches on the sides or my tongue, and I can pick little pieces of it off but not to much, it hasnt been 2 weeks yet and for the past 4 days I ve been using peroxide to try and help it to go away, and nothing is really happening. I m not sure how I got it, I ve never smoked anything in my life. It also says that thrush, if this is what it is could be HIV, and I ve never had sexual inter course before but I m not really too educated on if you can get a HIV without having sexual inter course. I m also scared to see a doctor and im waiting till my 2 weeks is up. I m not sure if it s thrush or not and I also have little red bumps at the back of my tongue.

Thank you for your question. The best way to sort this out would be to have a picture seen, but in general terms:
1. quite a few things can give you thrush. such as high blood sugar.
2. if your are concerned about hiv for other reasons, there are clinics which offer a result with a 5 min turnaround. Professional genito-urinary medicine clinics are discrete and confidentiality is of utmost importance.
