Suggest Treatment For White Spots Around The Anus In A Child

My 9 year old son has a couple very small (pin head size) white spots around his anus, near his opening. He says it feels like sandpaper there. It s only 2 or 3 tiny spots, the look sort of like white heads. Not raised though. His bottom does get itchy. Thanks

1. I am happy to help you. You mentioned that your son having 2-3 pin head sized itchy spots around the anus
2. This symptoms suggestive of PRURITUS ANI commonly called as itchy bottom
3. There are so many cause for itchy bottom I will tell u a few most common so kindly check for these that your son may have one of these
a. Fungal infections causing THRUSH
b. THREADWORMS most common in children
c. SCABIES
4. Treatment includes identifying the cause and take treatment for that. Commonly used treatment includes steroid creams to prevent growth and itching. Antifungal creams if of the causative agent is fungus
