Suggest Treatment For Wound On Foreskin Of Penis

Hi Doctor, I got wound on foreskin on my penis. Is it a STD or something? I have physical relations with my wife only and was planning for a child. But this wound has frightened me a lot and worried what to do? I applied some local cream over that and it got some hard skin over it in a day. Please suggest if it is something serious and what to do??

i have gone through your question i can understand your concern.
yes wound on foreskin of penis can be a STD or it can caused by local trauma.
but in your case there is no history of trauma. so it can be a STD by a bacteria or by a fungus. which can not be ruled out without local examination
i suggest you to visit a dermatologist to get it examined. and i will also suggest you not to apply local cream over it because many of local cream contains steroid which can worsen the condition.
and also avoid sexual contact until the wound heals.
