Suggest Treatment For Wound On The Eye Caused By A Cat

My cat scratch my daughters eyelid. Her vision is okay and she is not complaining of pain. its just over 1cm long with a tiny flap of skin hanging off. It was bleeding and has stopped. What kind of topical ointment would you suggest if anything? Thank you, Lisa

General Surgeon 's  Response
hi.

noted history of cat scratch. it is best if you bring your daughter to a doctor, preferably a general or a pediatric surgeon, for physical examination and clinical evaluation of the wound site. if needed, debridement/cleaning and possible suturing of the laceration will be one. anti-tetanus is also recommended. daily wound care will be directed accordingly.

hope this helps.

good day!!
