Suggest Treatment For Yeast Infection

Hello! I really hope you can help me with an answer. I don t know how but I got an yeast infection. I had all the symptoms: white cottage-cheese-like discharge, itching, burning, etc. I treated it, but for a few months now I keep having the discharge, but without the other symptoms. I went to a doctor, but the treatment prescribed didn t help. Can you please tell me what I have and how can I treat it? Thank you very much.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a yeast infection. I suggest using fungal cream for local application such as Clotrimazole cream. I recommend using Fluconazole 150 mg daily for three days. I also suggest to maintain a good hygiene and use cotton underwear.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
