i had a yellowish cyst on my tonsil for the past one year.it has increasd in size and now is 7mm.i hav no symptoms.found it occasionally.previously used to get recurrent attacks of tonsillitis which subsides soon with antibiotics.should i do anything withvthe cyst .i am 35yrs not smoker or alchoholic please do reply.
As per your complain the yellow cyst that you are observing over the tonsil if not confirmed as the diagnosis can be a tonsil stone as if it would be a cyst most probable chances are that it have started causing symptoms of pain and inflammation in the tonsil.. You should consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis.. In case if it is a tonsil stone manual removal can help.. It can be further prevented from occurring by doing warm saline gargles and gargle with antimicrobial mouthwash.. Always gargle after eating anything.. In case if it is a cyst incision and drainage can be done followed by antibiotics and painkillers....
Hope this helps..
Regards.
