Suggest Treatment For Yellowish Mucus Discharge From The Genitals

Hi I fully lost my mucus plug about two weeks ago. A few days ago I had a little yellowish mucus when I wiped after going to the bathroom but later dismissed it because it hadn t happened since. Today I had a large amount of yellowish mucus when I wiped after going to the bathroom, enough to need to wipe again. I don t have a fever or any itching like it could be infection and my due date is three days away. Should I be concerned?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Normal vaginal secretions are increased during pregnancy. On the other hand, other causes of increased secretions should be considered and ruled out. If the secretions do not have bad odor and you have no fever and no discomfort then very likely this is nothing to worry.

If there is a bad odor with the secretions or you have any discomfort or fever or any possible symptoms, you will need to let your doctor know.

I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
