Suggest Treatment Fro Swelling On The Ankles

I have very recently noticed swelling around my ankles whether I am standing or not. I feel tired most of the time (I have hypothyroidism- recently checked- blood levels normal). I have also been experiencing sharp pains on the left side of my head , shooting to the top of my scalp, with tenderness when I brush my hair.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The ankle swelling with thyroid disorder most likely co relate with the thyroid imbalance most likely, but if the current thyroid level is normal, alternate causes of fluid retention as:
- Cardiac malfunction (low cardiac output)
- High levels of sodium
- High blood pressure
- Others

These have to be sorted out in details of reason and manage accordingly.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
