Hello sir,I'm suffering partial Vitiligo frm last 15 years, bt spot was normal not much change in it, but frm a year its spreading and write now im using malibuild and sodox capsule, dnt want have uv therapy wht will be the other form of treatment please do suggest.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain Vitiligo s an Autoimmune disease n which the body's immunity damages Melanocytes that is pigment forming cells and there are areas of body where there are no melanocytes and no pigmentation leading to white patches..
You can consult a dermatologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly.. You can be advised to apply steroid ointments over the white patches and expose the areas to sun for improving pigmentation.. You can also be advised to apply Melgain that has fibroblastc growth factor and help in formation of melanocytes and thus improve pigmentation.. You can also be advised to go for PUVA light therapy to repigment the white areas.. A herbal product known as Ginko Biloba can be taken as it helps in pigmentation
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
