Suggest Treatment Or Weight Loss In Diabetic Patient
Hello Drs, I am a borderline diabetic since three years (age 56) post CABG healthy & very active person. I am on Metformin 500mg (SR) b.i.d. dosing in addition to other routine drugs. My height is 6 feet and weight is 74 Kg. I am developing emaciated loo and losing weight slowly. What advice you have for me?

Hi,
Metformin can cause weight loss and even diabetic patient with low insulin secretion can lead to weight loss. So for weight loss management you need to take either sufonylurea or insulin for diabetes management with or without metformin. This will improve your weight.
